The San Francisco 49ers: Gamified
The San Francisco 49ers hosted prospective suite owners at their game vs. the LA Rams earlier this month, and Best.Day.Ever. was there to ensure guests were engaged until the final minute.
Increasing engagement for their important guests is a top priority for the 49ers this season. To help them reach this goal, we set up in their luxury suite to play Super Bowl squares, providing a fun and easy game to promote friendly competition and spark prospect discussions for their staff.
Encouraging Participation
Encouraging attendees to participate is always our first action as guests arrive, and getting every guest to play is our goal. We achieved this by approaching guests as they settled into the suite, knowing all answers to their questions about the experience, and assisting in the sign-up process to make it as simple as possible. We had tablets available, but we also had QR codes at each table so guests could use their smartphones, allowing them to receive live updates throughout the game.
We displayed the leader board on the screens inside the suite, so our guests were immediately aware of the game as they arrived and were excited to see their names displayed after sign-up. Our display provided a great gathering point to promote discussion as people stopped to check who the winners could be for each quarter.
We secured 100% of the attendees to sign up to participate, providing valuable information to the team representatives and great talking points for their continued relationship with each individual.
Engaging Until the End
From the thunderous fly-over during the national anthem, a special appearance from Blake Anderson (of Workaholics fame), and the continued competition of our game, the attendees were entertained, delighted, and some were even winners! We gave out prizes every quarter, including autographed Jimmy G and Fred Warner footballs.
The 49ers dominated this game, and outcomes like this can often lead to fans leaving early or becoming less engaged toward the end. The competition of the squares game and the promise of great prizes kept every guest there until the very end, providing more engagement and opportunities for authentic relationship-building for our clients.
Fuel for the Follow-Up
Follow-up communication after an event is vital to secure leads and maintain relationships with clients and prospects. Adding a fun and engaging aspect to your event gives you fuel for your follow-up. You can refer to game elements, congratulate guests for winning a prize, or share a photo taken during the event. Having a shared experience and these call-back moments will make your follow-up more than just business but real, genuine conversations.
